Weihai is the earliest city with Sino-Korea sea route. Weihai opened the first Weihai-Incheon sea route early before 1990 when China and the Republic if Korea set up diplomatic relationships. There are three state-leval first-category open ports, five passenger and cargo lines to Incheon, Pyongtaek and Kunsan and over ten container lines to Incheon, Pyongtaek, Pusan, kusan, Ulsan etc.Meanwhile, the sea lines to Yokohama, Kobe, Osaka, Tokyo as well as main ports of Southeast Asina, Europe and America have also opened.

 

Weihai Airport has opened international lines to Seoul and Pusan with more than 30 flights per week for only one hour. Weihai Airport has also opened domestic air routes to Beijing, Shanghai, Harbin, Shenyang and Jinan etc. There is only one-hour drive from Weihai to Yantai Airport.

 

Weihai has opened passenger trains to Jinan, Beijing and Wuhan etc and has come true direct cargo transit all over the country. Highway connect Weihai with neighbouring cities like Qingdao and Yantai etc. Meanwhile,light-rail among Qingdao,Yantai and Weihai is under way.
